Our assembly participate in parades, funeral honor guards, confirmations and will be represented at the fourth degree exemplification held annually at the Wyndam Hotel in Lisle, Illinois on the second weekend in Februrary.

Picnic BBQ
   The Annual Assembly Mass and Family picnic for the
   Bishop Romeo Blanchette and Dr. Thomas Dooley Assemblies
   will be held:

When:   Sunday, July 19, 2009

Where:   Lions Park - Westmont, IL

Time:   11:00 am to 4:00 pm

Plan on making this another fun time for the family. The picnic will be begin with Mass celebrated by Father David Turner at 11:00 am. Lions Park is located at the corner of Naperville Road and Wilmette Street, in Westmont, IL. It is South of Ogden Avenue and East of Cass Street.

The cost of the picnic is $5 per person or $15 per family. The Assembly will provide the meat and soda. The assembly is asking:

People whose last name begins with A - L are asked to bring a Salad to share.

People whose last name begins with M - Z are asked to bring a Desert to share.

In order to know how much food to prepare, we need for you to R.S.V.P. with the number of people attending.

This year, our assembly will be part of the Knights of Columbus organizations running the
"K of C Cafe" at the DuPage County Fair. This will be a great fundraiser for our assembly as K of C Cafe is the only air conditioned area serving food.

The assembly has been assigned to work Tuesday July 21, 2009 . We will be serving lunch and dinner that day. We will need two shifts of workers. The lunch shift will work from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The dinner shift will work from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

We will be the ONLY food vendor open that day as the fair officially opens on Wednesday,
July 22, 2009. We will need to provide food and beverages to personnel setting up the fair on that day. This should be a very busy day. Many of details have already been worked out. We will need help from the assembly.

Last years Benefit Barbeque was a success. Future fund raisers will be announced at a later time.
